These guidelines are for you people who want your pampered pet squeaky clean. That's not a bad thing though, you are just trying to do the right thing to help man's best friend! Every dog needs slightly different care then others because it really depends on the breed. If you had a long haired breed or a poodle, then you would need to do more coat work. If your dog has his ears down then you would need to do more ear work. It's as simple as that! Rabbit's teeth keep on growing no matter what. Usually they keep there teeth down themselves, but sometimes you get your occasional "lazy rabbit". If the growing is minimal, the simplest thing to do is just put something for your rabbit to chew on in his cage like a block of wood (untreated) or vegetables can help too. But if your rabbit's teeth are rapidly growing this means your rabbit could have malocclusion. The easiest way to treat this and prevent your rabbit from starving, is to take wire cutters  and cut the teeth. It doesn't harm the teeth one bit because they are like human nails.
